Contents:

Die Vorlesung beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung der Wirtschaft über die Zeit, insbesondere mit dem Wirtschaftswachstum. In einem ersten Schritt betrachten wir den Umgang mit der Dynamik in der traditionellen Makroökonomik. Anschließend wird ein dynamischer Modellrahmen entwickelt in dem Haushalte, Unternehmen und Staat die erwartete zukünftige Situation in ihrer Entscheidung berücksichtigen. Dieser Modellrahmen wird für verschiedene Szenarien ausgewertet. So wird auf den Fall unbegrenzter Planungszeiträume ebenso eingegangen wie auf überlappende Generationen und auf die Rolle von Unsicherheit. Auch erfolgt eine Auseinandersetzung mit den empirischen Implikationen für das Verhalten von Firmen und Haushalten. Die Diskussion der empirischen Implikationen für die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung mündet dann in eine Auseinandersetzung mit den Determinanten des Wachstums und der Rolle von Innovationen.
