- Angaben
- Vorlesung
2 SWS, ECTS-Studium, ECTS-Credits: 5
nur Fachstudium, Sprache Englisch, PW A
Zeit und Ort: Di 9:00 - 10:30, SR 00.103; Bemerkung zu Zeit und Ort: Eine Anmeldung ist erwünscht.
- Studienfächer / Studienrichtungen
- WF Ph-BA ab 4 (ECTS-Credits: 5)
WF Ph-MA 1 (ECTS-Credits: 5)
- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- The course is suitable for 4th or higher semester Natural Scientists and Engineers, particularly for the Physics Module as part of the Bachelor or Master studies of Physics.
- Inhalt
- The lecture deals with light as information carrier.
The following questions are particularly interesting in this context:
How can the information be transmitted?
How is the information encoded and decoded?
Where are the physical limits?
What are the information-theoretical and technical „costs“?
As tools serve in this context:
the wave equation
linear system theory
Fourier analysis
information theory
Practical aspects are:
How can images be specifically modified and also processed afterwards?
Noise reduction
optical sensors reaching the physical limits
interferometry, holography
