Contents
The Proseminar will provide an introduction to international migration law and engage students with doing research in this field. This will include basic concepts of what a migrant is, the different categories of migrants, statelessness, rights of migrants and a special focus on migrant workers. The seminar builds on a range of issues related to international migration that will enable students to conceptualize and write a research paper from developing a research question, selection of literature to quoting. The writing of the research paper will be preceded by three meetings of 120 minutes followed by possible individual consultations during the writing period of four weeks. At the end, students will receive feedback on the writing and will present their findings in a research seminar. Note: The Proseminar is not a preparation for Moot-Court, just another possibility to practice your English in an academic context.
