Teilprojekt C8 - Funktion und Regulation des transkriptosomalen Komplexes, der sich um SAF-B bildetAlternative prä-mRNA Prozessierung ist ein wichtiger Mechanismus zur
Regulation der Genexpression in höheren Eukaryonten, der von etwa 70% aller
menschlichen Gene verwendet wird. Wir untersuchen den Komplex von
spleiß-regulatorischen Proteinen, der sich um das Protein scaffold
attachment factor-B (SAF-B) bildet. Die Eigenschaften dieses
Proteinkomplexes wird durch Phosphorylierungen reguliert, die von
Signalmolekülen, wie z.B. Hormonen und Wachstumsfaktoren ausgelöst werden.
Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass bekannte Signaltransduktionswege die
Genexpression durch Veränderung von alternativen Spleißen regulieren können.Publikationen:
