- The aim of the seminar is to give an overview of the regional cooperation initiatives in East and Southeast Asia (ASEAN, ARF, East Asian Summit and APEC). Based on a discussion of the literature on regionalism, the seminar aims at looking at various integration initiatives, its development and core areas of cooperation. The third part of the seminar will analyze how the regional architecture is influenced by the great power competition between the US and China.
