Detecting position und orientation of banknotes in real-time Within a six month research project between Giesecke+Devrient GmbH and
the pattern recognition lab, different methods form computer vision
shall be analyzed and tested. The goal of this project is the automatic
detection of the position and orientation of banknotes in real-time. To
achieve this goal current methods from pattern recognition and computer
vision will be compared with new and innovative methods and sensor
technologies (e.g. time-of-flight cameras, structured light). | Project manager: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Hornegger
