Inhalt:

Free elective modules can be individual modules with 15 ECTS-Credits or several modules with a total of 15 ECTS-Credits that will be free defined by choice of the students and acceptance of the students' dean. Elective modules should have a general relation to the chemistry study course and they must not overlap with other modules that are brought into the appraisal of studies from the Bachelor- or Master-level program Chemistry. In case of individual agreed modules a module responsible person of the offering university institution has to ascertain the arrangement of the elective module, has to assure the final examination and has to confer the credits. It is also possible to select another mandatory elective module (CME1 - CME5) as elective module.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

The students

• acquire in-depth knowledge of the chosen field

• are capable to independently plan and perform fundamental experiments

• can record, interpret and discuss data within the test procedures

• have capacity for teamwork

Bemerkung:

Workload: 450h - module dependent (the module coordinator/the students' dean appoints the examination modalities e.g. written examination, oral final examination, etc. before beginning of the module. One course – max. 2,5 ECTS - can be involved without grade)
