Lernziele und Kompetenzen:
The students will • achieve a deep understanding of the underlying mechanisms for the adsorption of fluids on powders and nanoporous materials
• know adsorption-based and complimentary techniques/methodologies for a reliable characterization of adsorbents for applications in separation, heterogeneous catalysis etc.
• understand the basics of high pressure adsorption and corresponding applications in gas storage
• know selected, important principles of adsorption-based separation processes
