A computer to install OpenFOAM
Inhalt:
In this course the students will learn the fundamentals of simulations and computational fluid dynamics. They will learn how to use OpenFOAM, an open-source software, to set up a simulation, post process the simulation data, and analyze the results.
This course is project oriented, the course participants will work in groups on the project. The stundents will set up a case, define the boundary conditions, run the simulation case with the proper solver, visualize the results and extract data from the simulation.
It is expected that each participant gives a presentation on their simulation case, visualization, and results. During this presentation, the students must answer questions regarding the techniques and methods taught in the lecture. Having a computer is necessary to participate in this course.
