- Grundlegende mathematische Beziehungen zwischen Meßwerten am ebenen Bild und
sinnvollen 3-dimensionalen Gefügekennwerten.
Flächen-, Linear- und Punktanalyse.
Volumenanteil, spez. Grenzfläche, Liniendichte, lineare Korn- und
Teilchengröße, mittlere Krümmung, Formparameter.
Bildanalyse und -auswertung werden demonstriert und in Gruppen selbst durchgeführt.

- Fundamental equations between measurements on planar pictures and
parameters of the microstructure.
Areal, lineal and point counting analysis.
Volume fraction, surface to volume ratio, line density, grain and
particle size, mean curvature, shape factors.
Image analysis and image storage are demonstrated.
