Prerequisites / Organisational information
Die gleichzeitige Teilnahme an der Vorlesung und an den Übungen in "Product Engineering (MVT-Vertiefung)" bildet die Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme am Praktikum. Die Gruppeneinteilung für das Praktikum und die Übungen erfolgt über StudOn. Information dazu in der ersten Vorlesung Product Engineering (MVT-Vertiefung) via Zoom. Für die Teilnahme an digitalen Veranstaltungen über Zoom ist eine Anmeldung auf StudOn erforderlich (siehe auch https://www.lfg.tf.fau.de/teaching). To join the online lectures via Zoom you need to register at StudOn (https://www.lfg.tf.fau.de/teaching)

Simultaneous attendance of the lectures on "Product Engineering" and participation in the classroom exercises constitute the prerequisites for admission to the basic technical practice sessions. Enrolling of the students into groups will take place during the first lecture of the course "Product Engineering".

Contents
Im Praktikum Product Engineering (MVT-Vertiefung) werden begleitend zur Vorlesung Versuche durchgeführt, welche das Verständnis für den Vorlesungsstoff vertiefen und erweitern. Die Versuche werden entweder von den Studierenden selbst unter der Anleitung eines Assistenten durchgeführt (Präsenzpraktikum) oder die Studierenden bekommen über StudOn Videos zu den typischen Versuchsabläufen und von den Assistenten typische Versuchsergebnisse (digitales Praktikum). Die Ergebnisse sind zu protokollieren und auszuwerten. Im Sommersemester werden die folgenden Versuche durchgeführt:
· Flockung/Filtration
· Edelmetall-Nanopartikel
· Dispergierung

Within the basic technical sessions in "Product Engineering", experiments promoting comprehension of the material presented in the lectures will be performed. The experiments will either be conducted by the students themselves under the guidance by an assistant (face to face course) or the students get access to videos of the experiments via StudOn and the assistant hands over typical measurement data to the students (digital course). The data and results obtained from the experiments have to be documented and evaluated. For the summer semester the following experiments are scheduled:
· Flocculation and Filtration
· Noble metal nanoparticles
· Dispersing

Technical practice sessions in Particle Technology II

Within the basic technical sessions in "Product Engineering", experiments promoting comprehension of the material presented in the lectures will be performed. The experiments will be conducted by the students themselves under the guidance by an assistant. The data and results obtained from the experiments have to be documented and evaluated. For the summer semester the following experiments are scheduled:
· Sedimentation centrifuge and cyclone
· Filter centrifuge, filtration, surface determination by means of the Blaine-device
· Crushing of single particles
