- The Victorian period, a period of enormous economic,political, social, technological, scientific, artistic and literary innovationand change, is a rich period for research. This course will focus on a numberof different concepts, methodologies and theoretical positions that cancomprise Victorian cultural studies and pervade culturally informed readings ofVictorian literature.
This course can also be used as an important resourcein (Victorian) literature studies providing essential theoretical andhistorical 'backgrounds' and case studies for reading literature in itsmethodological and cultural contexts.
