Inhalt:

The seminar discusses the quantum theory of superconducting circuits and the advances and challenges in building qubits that can be used in quantum computing. Each participant will deliver a presentation on a selected topic from the field which will subsequently be discussed among all participants. The evaluation of the work will be performed on the basis of the presentation taking into account the correctness, completeness of the discussion as well as the presentation style (slides and clarity of explanations).

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

Students will learn to

  • acquaint themselves with special subjects in a short time

  • browse and research literature on a specific topic

  • study a topic to a degree they can explain it to others

  • discuss scientific content

  • present a topic in an oral presentation
