Inhalt:

A three-day kick-off seminar is held before the first semester lectures start. Students will meet fellow students, faculty, and their mentors. The seminar program includes soft skills, lectures on self-organization, time management, teamwork, presentation techniques, and scientific writing – but also cultural training to prepare you for an international work environment, as well as potential stays abroad.
A one-week winter school is held at the end of the first semester, with lectures that focus on industrial and professional experience. A key topic during the winter school is people management.
A two-week summer school is held after the second semester at the "Ferienakademie" in Sarntal. Students work in small groups to prepare material on a specific scientific topic, which is different every year. During the summer school, students give presentations, submit reports, discuss their results in depth and compile a proceedings document. Alternatively, students can also design software projects which they will implement in this two-week period. The seminar program is complemented by several non-scientific activities, including campfire talks with industry leaders.
