Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
Das Proseminar Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:

  • Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Mittel- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)

Inhalt
This seminar will deal with sociolinguistic aspects of language use. We will focus on different varieties of English and look at the following questions: Which factors influence our language use? What role do region, social class or status, gender or ethnicity play? One focus of this seminar will be on different regional varieties of English around the world, the other focus will be on gender, age, class and ethnicity.
