- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- Das Pro-/Mittelseminar Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:
BA English and American Studies: Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul) Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics; Studienbeginn ab WS 2020/21: beide Basismodule Linguistics) Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics; Studienbeginn ab WS 2020/21: beide Elementarmodule Linguistics)
Students will give a presentation and write a term paper.
In case of online teaching: Since it is one of the major aims of a seminar to have discussions with your peers, you will be expected to participate in online classes with a working camera and microphone.
- Inhalt
- This seminar builds on top of what you learned in the introductory classes. The models of CGEL (Quirk et al. 1985) and ISAAVA (Herbst/Schüller 2008) will form the basis of our discussions, but theoretical approaches such as Construction Grammar (Golberg 1995, 2006, 2019) will also be covered. Finally we will regularly practice our analysis skills on real sentences.
