- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all winter term classes will be taught online.
The Hauptseminar belongs to the following modules in the indicated degree programs:
MA English Studies: Descriptive and Theoretical Linguistics A BA English and American Studies: Hauptmodul A. (Requirements: completed Zwischenmodul II.) Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Hauptmodul Linguistics. (Requirements: completed Zwischenmodul.)

- This module introduces you to linguistics as a science and to a variety of empirical methods used by linguists. You will learn to formulate testable hypotheses, collect and analyse linguistic data, design experiments, and critically evaluate published studies.
