ca. three preparatory meetings in the seminar room between mid-May and Mid-June, joint period of field work (5 days), ca. three post-field meetings for data analysis discussion until the end of the summer term

Contents
The Field Course in the MSc study program has a focus on training multiple fields methods used in physical geography and environmental research. The course will combine methods of mapping, remote sensing, vegetation and soil analyses in an area near Erlangen. The aim is to become familiar with different methods and their combinations, and to apply various disciplines in an integrative ecological research approach. We will have several preparatory meetings in a seminar room, and then a block of several days in the field around end of June (precise dates to be determined).
