Prerequisites / Organisational information
Voraussetzung sind Kenntnisse in digitaler Signalverarbeitung, Kenntnisse aus der Vorlesung Mensch-Maschine-Schnittstelle sind hilfreich, aber nicht notwendig.
Die Vorlesung ist thematisch eng verwandt mit der Vorlesung "Music Processing - Analysis" von Prof. Meinard Müller. Beide Vorlesungen können jedoch unabhängig voneinander gehört werden.

Contents
Die Vorlesung behandelt die Bearbeitung von Audiosignalen mit parametrischen Filtern und Effekten, sowie die Erzeugung künstlicher Klänge für musikalische Anwendungen. Klangbeispiele und Demonstrationen ergänzen den Vorlesungstoff.

Music Processing - Synthesis

Prerequisites
Prerequisite: A course on digital signal processing.
This course "Music Processing - Synthesis" is closely related to the course "Music Processing - Analysis" by Prof. Meinard Müller. However, both courses can be taken separately.

Contents
The lecture covers digital processing of audio signals with parametric filters and effects as well as sound synthesis for musical applications. Various sound examples demonstrate the contents of the lecture.
