EAP (English for Academic Purposes):
The curriculum of this course covers all the aspects of English academic skills, such as critical thinking, reading, speaking and making arguments, and listening/comprehension. Building upon those foundations, writing will be introduced through research papers and assignments, where thesis and points of proof are taught, as well as other key academic writing skills. Students are encouraged to engage with texts and taught the key skills required for academic discourses. Your grade will predominantly be based on:

• Class participation and preparedness

• A short research paper (no more than 5 pages)

• Homework assignments

Es wird empfohlen, im Zuge des Studiums einer Fremdsprache einmal die Übung "Kickstart: Fremdsprachen lernen" (auf UNIVIS unter Sprachenzentrum > Sprachbezogene Zusatzqualifikationen in Erlangen) zu besuchen.
