Visualization in Geography and Biology

In cooperation with the Institut für Vegetation- und Landschaftskunde (IVL) the chair of computer graphics implements visualization of vegetation and terrain with the aid of modern computer graphics hardware. Virtual plants are investigated for their change over several years and the implications on the landscape is evaluated. Furthermore the solar radiation for the state of bavaria is examined by illumination models. Additionally, special topics of raster to vector conversion are covered.
Project manager:
Prof. Dr. Günther Greiner, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marc Stamminger
