The project includes the technical formatting for the items computer vision, image based rendering and augmented reality. In the scope of computer vision there will be expained the fields of camera callibration, stereo systems and 3d reconstruction, which are important to many applications. Augmented reality and image based rendering are two active research fields on the chair of pattern recognition. So latest results can be integrated to the lecture.

On the other hand, we will use different technical features of the internet. So we can ensure an advantage over conventional lectures. For examples there are asynchronous diskussion systems, like e-mail and newsgroups, which guarantee a high flexibility in the learning process. Further on a computer it is possible to generate 3d worlds, what is very important for the lecture, because 3d reconstruction is one of the main topic. We will implement an enviroment for the students, in that they can experiment with own images and own parameters in the algorithms, too.
