Development of virtual applications for human 3D stereo vision training of athletes

In the past human vision was shown to be trainable. This projects aims to improve 3D stereo vision in particular as a higher visual 3D perception of athletes results into higher performance in terms of reaction times and precision. Virtual applications for 3D-displays and projection systems are developed to evaluate the athlete's current performance state of 3D vision. Based on that, suitable training strategies are designed to improve the visual performance.
