In this course, we will give an overview of different problems in biophysics and standard approaches and physical tools to study them. o Relevant scales in and the role of fluctuations/noise in biological systems o Review of statistical physics/probability theory o Physical models to study the equilibrium state and dynamics of polymers o Underlying theory of diffusion and its connection to biological systems o Models and general phenomena regarding membranes
