WPF LSE-MA 1-3 (ECTS-Credits: 5,0)
- Prerequisites / Organisational information
- Grundlagen der Trenntechnik; deutsche und englische Sprachkenntnisse
- Contents
- ECTS information:
- Title:
- Industrial Crystallisation
- Credits: 4,5
- Prerequisites
- Basics at Crystallisation
- Contents
- Crystallisation is firmly established as a thermal separation process on
an industrial scale. Strict requirements are placed not only on the
product characteristics but also on the effectiveness with which the
process is carried out with increasing emphasis on the operation of
existing plant or the further development of the process.
Crystallisation processes are conducted with the objectives of shaping, separation of substances and purification of substances. The choice of suitable processes is made on the one hand according to the planned application for the product and on the other hand according to the interaction between material properties, process scales and equipment solutions. Industrial crystallisation includes processes for simple solidification of melts, purification of melts, crystallisation of solutions, precipitation and sublimation.
