- Machine Learning in Multimedia and Signal Processing (MLSP)
Der Fokus dieses Seminars liegt auf der Beschreibung grundlegender Konzepte des maschinellen Lernens und deren Anwendung in verschiedenen Bereichen der Signalverarbeitung.
Es wird an drei verpflichtenden Terminen als Blockveranstaltung durchgeführt:
Kick-off Meeting: Einführung und Vergabe der Vortragsthemen.
Mid-Term Meeting: Die Teilnehmer halten einen kurzen Vortrag über den Stand der Vorbereitungen und erhalten Tipps zur Vortragsgestaltung.
Seminar Workshop: Jeder Teilnehmer hält einen 30-minütigen Vortrag und liefert eine Ausarbeitung im Umfang von 10 Seiten über sein Thema ab.
Das Seminar steht Ingenieurstudenten offen, die mindestens 4 Semester eines relevanten Bachelorstudiums absolviert haben. Alle Besprechungen und Vorträge werden auf Englisch gehalten und die Ausarbeitung sollte ebenfalls in englischer Sprache verfasst werden.

- Machine Learning in Multimedia and Signal Processing (MLSP)
This seminar focuses on the description of fundamental concepts from machine learning theory as well as their application to different signal processing topics.
It is designed for Bachelor and Master programs in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology (EEI), Information and Communication Technology (IuK), Industrial Engineering and Management (WING), Computational Engineering (CE), Communications and Multimedia Engineering (CME), as well as related study programs.The seminar is organized around three mandatory meetings:
Kick-off meeting: An introduction will be given and the individual topics are assigned to the participants.
Mid-Term meeting: The participants will give a brief presentation about the status of their work and hints for the final presentation are given.
Seminar Workshop: Each participant will give a presentation of 30 minutes and a report on his/her topic of 10 pages.
The seminar is open to engineering students having completed at least 4 semesters of relevant bachelor studies. All meetings and presentations will be held in English and the reports are expected to be written in English.
