Contents
In this seminar we will go over different micro/nanoscale systems where magnetic degrees of freedom play a preponderant role, with emphasis on systems involving cavities (e.g. microwave or photonic cavities). Possible topics include:
  • Magnons and microwave cavities (interaction Hamiltonian, basic processes, experimental implementations, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials)

  • Magnons and photonic cavities (interaction Hamiltonian, basic processes, experimental implementations, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials)

  • Magnons and phonons (interaction mechanisms, experimental implementations)

  • Magnons, phonons, and photons (interaction mechanisms, experimental implementations)

  • Magnons and electrons (interaction mechanisms, current induced torque, spin pumping)

  • Magnetic textures (topology, manipulation of textures by current or light, information processing with magnetic defects, magnons)
