- The lecture introduces modern techniques of disperse systems characterization in chemical engineering. General principles for the judgment of characterization methods and measuring procedures will be treated. Based on these ideas the most important techniques for characterizations of nano and micro scaled particle systems will be presented. Particularly methods that address product properties such as particle size, composition, color, surface and electronic properties are discussed. This selection can be can be adapted to some extend to the interests of the participants.
