Description:
The lecture is intended as an introduction to the concepts and methods of theoretical quantum optics. It will strongly emphasize the connection between theory and experiment and will discuss recent literature.

4) Photon statistics
5) Casimir effect
6) Atom-photon interaction
7) Open quantum systems
8) Decoherence
