Inhalt:

In this course, we will give an overview of different problems in biophysics and standard approaches and physical tools to study them.

• Relevant scales in and the role of fluctuations/noise in biological systems

• Review of statistical physics/probability theory

• Physical models to study the equilibrium state and dynamics of polymers

• Underlying theory of diffusion and its connection to biological systems

• Models and general phenomena regarding membranes
