  • 3. Laser cooling and trapping: Doppler cooling, magneto-optical trap, optical dipole trap, Sisyphus cooling

  • 4. Ion traps: The Penning and the Paul trap, laser cooling of trapped ions, resolved sideband cooling

  • 5. Dispersive light-matter interaction: phase shift, spatial and temporal mode matching for efficient light matter interaction

  • 6. Atom-photon entanglement: Einstein-Rosen-Podolsky paradox, Bell's inequality
