- In this seminar we will go over different micro/nanoscale systems where magnetic degrees of freedom play a preponderant role, with emphasis on systems involving cavities (e.g. microwave or photonic cavities). Possible topics include:
Magnons and microwave cavities (interaction Hamiltonian, basic processes, experimental implementations, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials)
Magnons and photonic cavities (interaction Hamiltonian, basic processes, experimental implementations, ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials)
Magnons and phonons (interaction mechanisms, experimental implementations)
Magnons, phonons, and photons (interaction mechanisms, experimental implementations)
Magnons and electrons (interaction mechanisms, current induced torque, spin pumping)
Magnetic textures (topology, manipulation of textures by current or light, information processing with magnetic defects, magnons)
