3. Fourier transform and plane-wave expansion for the electromagnetic fields
4. Scalar optical beams with nonplanar wave fronts
5. Hermite-Gauss and Laguerre-Gauss solutions of the paraxial wave equation
6. From the density matrix to the coherency matrix: Statistical optics
The exercises will mainly consist in applications of the concepts presented in the
lectures.
