CT Reconstruction Using Compressed Sensing

Computed tomography (CT) is considered as a radiation-intensive procedure, yet it becomes more and more common. The risk of radiation induced disease creates a strong need to reconstruct CT images with practically useful quality using as low radiation as possible. One strategy is to use only a limited number of projections. This project and research interests focus on developing CT reconstruction methods with as few projection images as possible to achieve rapid scanning with a reduced x-ray dose delivered to the patient.
