Inhalt:

This course covers the fundamental mathematical and communication theoretical concepts necessary for the design and analysis of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems. Relevant topics include Spatial Multiplexing, Space-Time Coding, MIMO Transceiver Design, Multi-user MIMO, Relay-based MIMO, and applications in modern communication systems.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

The goal of this course is to enable the students to develop a fundamental understanding of MIMO communication systems. They will be able to assess the performance of different MIMO systems and to design systems according to prescribed requirements. The necessary mathematical background will be developed.
