Inhalt:

The project module comprises either a colloquium/lecture series on current research or the attendance of an academic conference. The project work includes preparatory and follow-up work; a portfolio provides written documentation; an academic response paper is required.

Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

Students

• expand and deepen their acquired academic competence by addressing specific research questions in the field of American literary and cultural studies;

• gain insight into current academic projects and debates

• develop their own perspectives in methodological and theoretical engagement with these topics;

• practice their ability to produce academic presentations and to discuss their findings;

• acquire competence in organizing and mediating knowledge as well as in coordinating scholarly events.
