Inhalt:

Analysis of information structure at clause, sentence and paragraph levels; academic reading and information processing skills. Productive skills: structuring academic texts, writing an abstract, approaches to academic style, presenting an academic paper etc.

Please note: The module has to be completed in ascending order "Discourse Structure" (offered exclusively in Fall/Winter) followed by "Academic Discourse" (offered exclusively in Spring/Summer). Students who start their course of studies out of turn in Spring must start the module with "Discourse Structure" in their second semester.
