Inhalt
General Language Course II (GLC II) is the second of two integrated language courses to be taken during the first year. The focus of the module is on the development of language skills through collaborative learning strategies, varied oral and written communication tasks, and the study of specific areas of grammar and vocabulary. Students will be supported in further developing their learner autonomy and study skills. As in GLC I, Remedial Verb Grammar Advanced (RMVG-A), an online practice and feedback tool, will form an integral part of the work on grammar (registration details in class). In this second GLC, there will be an increased focus on students’ productive language skills. Tasks will be based on a variety of text types and audio-visual material. GLC II will include discussion of a range of different topics, such as science and technology, controversial issues, the environment and the arts.
