Inhalt
The law of obligations is the term used to group together two distinct fields of law: the law of torts and contract law.

This course focuses on the acquisition of the core legal terminology used in these two fields by learning about the fundamental legal principles in these areas. In addition to that, you will discover what procedures are involved in taking a civil case to court and the terminology used in civil procedural law.

The course consists of 3 units:
1. Civil Procedure
2. The Law of Torts
3. The Law of Contract

The course will place equal weighting on all the four language learning skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Empfohlene Literatur
All materials will be provided online (via StudOn) or in class. Die Kurseinheiten werden als interaktive pdf-Dateien bereitgestellt. Die Verwendung von Laptops, bzw. Tablets im Unterricht wird ausdrücklich empfohlen.
