- About the Workshop:
In this course we will focus on the fundamental objectives of personal
risk management. Specifically, we will conduct an in-depth analysis of
the risk transfer mechanisms used to protect against economic losses
caused by health risks, death, disability, long-term healthcare needs,
and excessive longevity.
The topics we will cover include consumption smoothing, saving and
investing decisions, determination of insurance needs, the markets for
personal insurance products, the use of life insurance by businesses,
health care reform, long-term care insurance, disability insurance, and annuities.Master’s degree programs: FACT, Economics, Industrial Engineering,
Mathematics and Economics
Restricted number of participants
Prerequisites: Previous (Master) courses in insurance and finance
Exam: Presentation
