- Inhalt
- Based on the perception of a class as a group of individuals with heterogeneous strengths and needs this seminar will work on strategies for teachers that try to allow for all students to benefit from EFL lessons at the same time.
Various methods will be discussed and tested that show how differences in learning styles, skills, linguistic proficiency, aptitudes, interests and cultural background can serve as opportunities to enhance the learning process rather than being vilified as problems.
Ways to provide differentiation include changes in classroom management, alternating assignments to individuals, pairs and groups and variations of content, methods, media or the learning environment.
We will also discuss the influence of a learner’s awareness of his/her learning style and the influence of formative assessment methods.
