- Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
- Das Proseminar Linguistics gehört in folgenden Studiengängen jeweils zu folgenden Modulen:- BA English and American Studies: Zwischenmodul II Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Zwischenmodul I: Thematisches Kombinationsmodul)- Lehramt Englisch an Gymnasien: Zwischenmodul L-GYM Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Basismodul Linguistics)- Lehramt Englisch an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen: Seminarmodul L-UF Linguistics. (Zulassungsvoraussetzung: Elementarmodul Linguistics)
- Inhalt
- In this course we will apply a range of methodologies and analyses from different branches of linguistics to literary works. For instance, we will see how discourse analysis can be of use for the interpretation of dialogue in dramatic texts, what computer concordances can tell us about a novel or by what means a certain effect in poetry is achieved.Warning: This course is reading-intensive.
