- This course is available to students studying for a degree in Physics. The course will meet weekly for one 90 minute
class and will provide students with the opportunity to:
Learn, use and improve language skills which are key to successful conference presentations in English. Lead and partake in regular English conversation practice both with other students and with the course teacher. Develop language skills necessary for the handling of meetings and reaching group decisions in an English speaking context. Receive feedback and help in addressing specific linguistic issues (grammar, vocabulary, syntax etc) arising from their own conversational interactions in the class.
The course will be graded on a pass / fail basis, using a combination of presentations, group work and classroom assessment.
Es wird empfohlen, im Zuge des Studiums einer Fremdsprache einmal die Übung "Kickstart: Fremdsprachen lernen" (auf UNIVIS unter Sprachenzentrum > Sprachbezogene Zusatzqualifikationen in Erlangen) zu besuchen.
