Inhalt
Physical systems consist of many interacting particles - fermions and bosons. The physics of these many body systems can be described by effective particles (quasi particles), e.g. Bloch electrons, phonons, excitons, or plasmons. Such quasi particles are the result of the underlying complex mutual interaction of the fundamental fermions and bosons. They only weakly interact amongst each other. The many body theory sets the framework for the theoretical description. Within many body perturbation theory the fundamental equations can be solved and quantitative predictions can be made. In this lecture series (many body theory I+II) we develop the fundamental concepts and derive the diagramtic perturbation theory.
Topics of many body theory 2:
1. Introduction to perturbation theory
2. Wick's Theorem
3. Feynman's Diagramatic Perturbationtheory
4. Quasiparticles in Perturbationtheory
5. Fermions at finite Temperature
6. Special Chapters
